Encryption सर्टिफ़िकेट से फ़ाइल को लॉक (एन्क्रिप्ट) किया जाता है ताकि बीच में कोई उसे पढ़ न सके। कई टेंडर पोर्टल पर बिड एन्क्रिप्ट होकर जमा होती है।An encryption certificate is used to lock (encrypt) a file so nobody can read it in transit. On many tender portals the bid is encrypted before it is submitted.

MP Tender जैसे पोर्टल पर Class 3 DSC अनिवार्य है। ई-टेंडर के लिए आमतौर पर Signing और Encryption दोनों वाली Class 3 DSC (कॉम्बो) ली जाती है। पोर्टल का निर्देश हमेशा पहले देखें।On portals such as MP Tender a Class 3 DSC is mandatory. For e-tendering a Class 3 DSC with both signing and encryption (combo) is usually taken. Always check the portal instructions first.

रिटर्न, फ़ॉर्म या PDF पर सिर्फ़ साइन करना हो तो Signing सर्टिफ़िकेट काफ़ी रहता है। ऐसे में टेंडर के बिना भी DSC काम आती है।If you only sign returns, forms or PDFs, a signing certificate is enough. A DSC is useful even without tenders.
